an update on the gobboSMP.

Today, the GobboSMP server has been temporarily closed as of 5:50 PM CDT on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

This decision was made to allow time to refocus on development of the Gobbo Video platform and to take a broader look at priorities within the Gobbo community. Over time, maintaining the server required increasing attention and resources, and it became clear that a pause was necessary to ensure the long-term health of the overall project.

This closure is not permanent. Rather, it is an opportunity to step back, evaluate the direction of the community, and determine how GobboSMP can best exist in the future in a way that remains fun, fair, and sustainable.

Further updates will be shared as plans develop.

Thank you to everyone who participated in GobboSMP and helped make it an enjoyable experience during its operation. Your time, creativity, and support are appreciated.

What's new to Gobbo?

We got some updates to share about new features that have been added in the last month or so.

Creator Dashboard

Allows creators to access their videos, comments, their posts a channel overview and profile customization all in one page.

Video Tags

Allows creators to filter their videos.

View Count Tracking

Self explanatory.

Report System

Users can now report harmful or inappropriate content.

User Badges

Creators that are verified can now receive a badge to their profile. There's also badges for alpha and beta testers.

Improved Mobile Navigation

Fixed up the mobile navigation.

Main Page Banner 

Banner that displays news and other information.

Posts

Creators can post blog like posts to their channel for their community.

Sensitive Content Warning

Videos can now be flagged as sensitive content.

Accent colors across Gobbo

You can set a color to be seen across all of Gobbo.

Video Like To Dislike Ratio

Videos now show a bar to indicate the like to dislike ratio of said video.
